Refund and Return Policy
Damaged, Defective or Incorrectly Supplied Products
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the product is defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied.
Where a product is confirmed to be defective, damaged before delivery or incorrectly supplied by AutoSupplyAfrica, we will arrange the appropriate repair, replacement or refund and cover reasonable return courier costs in accordance with applicable South African consumer law.
Correctly Supplied Products
Customers are responsible for confirming that the product is suitable for their vehicle before ordering, including the vehicle model, year, specifications and part number.
If the correct product was supplied but the customer selected the incorrect product or no longer wants it, AutoSupplyAfrica is not automatically required to accept the return.
In exceptional cases, management may approve a return subject to the following conditions:
-
The return must be approved in writing before the product is sent back.
-
The product must be unused, undamaged and in a resaleable condition.
-
All original packaging, accessories and components must be included.
-
The product will be inspected before a refund or store credit is approved.
-
A reasonable handling or restocking fee may apply.
-
The customer is responsible for all original delivery, return and collection costs.
If AutoSupplyAfrica arranges the collection, the actual courier cost will be deducted from the refund or store credit. This includes any high-risk-area, remote-area, outlying-area or other courier surcharge.
The original delivery charge is non-refundable for discretionary returns. Only the approved product value will be refunded or credited, less any applicable courier, collection, surcharge, handling or restocking fees.
Used, Fitted or Installed Products
Products that have been used, fitted, installed, modified, damaged or partially disassembled cannot be returned due to a change of mind or incorrect customer selection.
A used or installed product will only be considered for return if it is defective under applicable consumer law or if management agrees in writing to accept it as an exceptional goodwill return.
Damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, accidents, unauthorised modifications, vehicle electrical faults or normal wear and tear will not be considered a manufacturing defect.
Electrical Products
Electrical products cannot be returned due to a change of mind, incorrect selection or compatibility issues after they have been fitted, connected, installed or used.
This does not affect the customerās legal rights where an electrical product is genuinely defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied.
Non-Returnable Products
Subject to applicable consumer law, the following products are not eligible for discretionary returns:
-
Custom-made, specially sourced or special-order products.
-
Products manufactured or modified according to the customerās requirements.
-
Products that have been fitted, installed, used, altered or damaged.
-
Products returned without their original packaging, accessories or components.
-
Sale or clearance products.
-
Gift cards.
-
Hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases.
-
Correctly supplied products, unless management approves the return in writing.
Returns and Refunds
No product may be returned without prior written authorisation from AutoSupplyAfrica.
Approved returns must be securely packaged and returned to:
AutoSupplyAfrica
600 Soutter Street
Pretoria West
Accepting a returned parcel does not automatically mean that a refund has been approved. The product must first be inspected.
Once inspected, the customer will be informed whether the refund or store credit has been approved. Any applicable courier charges, high-risk-area surcharges, handling fees or other permitted deductions will be deducted before the refund or credit is processed.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights a customer may have under applicable South African consumer law.
